Friday we took our Labrador Mocha to meet her new mom. It was such a hard decision for us to find her a new home as she's been such a big part of my life, but we knew it had to be done as she has not been happy since Aubrey came along. We were blessed to find a great woman who loves the breed and fell in love with Mocha immediatley. Mocha seemed to like her right away too and after spending some time with her we decided that they would be perfect for each other. So we made arrangements for me to take Mocha to her on Saturday to stay. I will miss her so much but at the same time it will be a great releif at home not to have to worry about her so much and I know she'll be spoiled and very much loved by Joan her new mom.
Saturday after taking Mocha to Joan Aubrey and I headed to Jasper. It was Strassenfest weekend and we were getting Aubrey and Emma baptized. I went into the Strassenfest shortly after getting to town to meet up with my cousins to visit. We had some Sander's fried chicken and visited a while then headed over to the rides to let the kids play some. Aubrey got to go on her very first ride. I didn't know how she would do but she LOVED it! She rode the swings and another one that had boats and dolphins. The dolphin one she really had a ball she was bouncing up and down and smiling.
Sunday was the baptism Deacon Mike preformed the ceremony since their priest was on vacation. Aubrey was a stinker! She would not hold still for anything and was just talking and wanted on the floor to play. She was also blowing kisses and making indian noises when we were trying to take pictures :) stinker!
After the ceremony we went back to mom and dad's house with Jeremy and Wes's parents and grilled some burgers and hotdogs and had a nice little lunch and visited before heading back home. It was a crazy weekend but overall a good one.
