We had a great weekend ALONE :) For the first time in probably almost 2 years Wes and I had the house to ourselves for the better part of the weekend. Saturday morning I took the kids to my parents, dropped off some other things for them, loaded up some stuff to take back home and left the kids there to spend the weeekend with Grandma and Grandpa Sander. This was the first time Kaden has spent the night away from us and the first time mom and dad kept either of them overnight by themselves. Aubrey was really excited to stay though and Kaden is by dad's best friend so I wasn't too worried about how they would do. Mom said they had a really good time they made valentines for the kids Valentines party at school today and Aubrey got to go to McDonald's twice to play in playplace. My cousin Tina took her Saturday night to play and to her house for a while to play with their dogs because Aubrey wanted to. Then after Church mom and dad took them back because Aubrey wanted to play on the playground at church but it was too cold. Mom and dad brought them back home just before Supper on Sunday and stayed to eat with us before heading home.
While the kids were away the adults will play :) or go shoping and out to eat and watch a UK basketball game at least. We planned to go out to eat someplace we normally don't go but we made the mistake of going down around the malls on a Saturday night and after 40 minutes of driving and trying to find a parking spot at one of the restaraunts we gave up and headed back towrad home and went to Tumbleweed which wasn't very crowded. We went home and lit a fire in the wood burner and spent some time together and watched the UK game that was on. Sunday we went to Home Depot to get a few things then worked on the basement some so I could make a workout area down there for me.
It was a good weekend and nice to have some time to ourselves.
