Since Kaden's birthday is this week we had a party for him on Saturday. We had a pretty good turn out and the weather really cooperated and it was sunny out so the kids got to use the new play set we finally finished last week!
We all had a really good time and it was good to visit with friends and family.
Kaden and his cake. He wasn't really sure what to make of the candles and everyone staring at him, but he kept trying to get the stuffed ball off the top. As soon as I brought it in he knew what it was and wanted some cake and the ball.
He got some very cool new balls and a book and some trucks and cars and clothes. He also got a new basketball goal but since he has one they told me where they got it and we'll take him to pick something out.
The big summer project is now complete! We finished putting the mulch in on Friday and it looks great all the kids had a lot of fun playing on it this weekend.

Kaden decided last week that he likes to swing! A big deal for him because before he would freak out if you even tried to put him on a swing or sit with him on your lap. Now he loves it and I can't get him off.
Sunday we had our friend Jeff, Amy and their kids over for supper since they were not able to make it to the party on Saturday. It was really nice being able to actually sit and visit with them and the kids had a really good time playing. Jeff also fixed my kitchen light while he was there! One of the can lights by the stove has always blinked on and off and it drives me crazy since it's where I do most of the kitchen prep. Wes's dad worked on it a few weeks ago but it was still doing it when Jeff noticed it he had to see what was going on and he was able to fix it! I am so happy.
