Falls of the Ohio

April 13th we planned to spend the day at the zoo.  As we got closer though we noticed that traffic was crazy backed up and it became apparent that they were all going to the zoo.  It turns out it was $3 admission day so it was crazy packed.  So we decided to go to the Falls of the Ohio instead.  Wes had been wanting to go for a while he had been when he was in college and I had been once before and thought the kids would like it.  We had planned to eat lunch at the zoo so we stopped at Subway and got some sandwiches.  We tried having a picnic at one of the parks but it was crazy windy on the river so we ate in the car.  Then we went ahead and went into the visitors center and looked around there.  It was neat and the kids liked looking at the exhibits and they have a little kids area they played in for a while.  After the visitor center we walked down toward the river it was really high so you couldn't see the fossil beds but it was cool to see all the drift wood and stuff.
