A very merry Christmas

This Christmas has been a little different than most but still very fun.
Wes and I both worked on Monday then I was off on Tuesday and Wes went into work for a few hours.  Mom and dad came down just before noon and spent the day with us.  Mom, Aubrey, and I baked some sugar cookies for Santa and dad had a good time playing with Kaden.  We did our gift exchange after Wes got home from work then got ready and went to the children's mass at St. Mary of the Knobs where we have been going to church.  It was a really nice service and Fr. Mike asked the kids to come up with him and asked them some questions about the story of Jesus's birth.  After church we went out to eat then back to the house to visit some more before mom and dad headed home.  It was a really nice day to just spend a little time together.

On Christmas day we opened gifts at home that morning when everyone was awake.  The kids both had a great time and seem to really like all of their gifts.  Aubrey got a new 16" bike from Santa and Kaden got a big dinosaur/truck transformer.  From us Aubrey got a leapreader pen and books, some stuff for her baby doll, a planet set that glows for her room, and a few other things.  Kaden got a shark, binoculars, a coloring book and marvel story book, a punching bag and a few other things.  We opened some of the gifts and let them play a while then we got ready to go to Wes's parents house.

At Wes's parents we visited with his brothers and their girlfriends for a while and ate a late lunch then exchanged gifts.  Several of Wes's aunts and uncles came over to visit and we had a good time visiting with them as well.  Overall it was a great holiday spent with family as it should be :)
