Last week Thursday we packed up and headed to Tennessee for our favorite vacation spot, Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. Unfortunatly the trip got off to a not so great start by me having to take Aubrey to the doctor Thursday morning. She had been running a fever and her right eye was pussy and red. We got meds and the clear to go on our trip so we packed up and headed off. We got down there Thursday about 6pm and got a bite to eat before trying to navigate our way up the mountain to our cabin. The cabin was very nice but it was out there and not real easily accessible. Friday we decided to check out the Deer Farm exotic petting zoo in Seiverville. It took us a while to get going because Aubrey still had a fever and was overall cranky but after a morning nap she was doing better so we headed out. She really enjoyed seeing the animals and she would throw a handfull of food over the fences to them and she even petted a few. It was neat to see them all up so close and be able to interact with them.
After that we headed back to the cabin though Aubrey' fever was worse and she desperatly needed another nap. We cooked supper at the cabin and just relaxed.
Saturday we went into Gatlinburg to the Aquarium and to do a little shopping. We ate Lunch there and toured the Aquarium which Aubrey really liked. We went back to the cabin fairly early Saturday too so Aubrey could nap some and we could relax. Sunday we headed back to Kentucky a little after 10am.
We didn't do a whole lot this time but it was still nice to get away for a while.

Sounds like you had a pretty good time despite Aubrey's eye. It's always nice to have some time away.
