The on going construction project for the kids playset required a lot of fill dirt as there is not a level spot in our yard. Wes had picked up a truck load a few weeks back to level the spot right where it sits so we could get it put together but it wasn't near enough for the entire area. So last week we had Earth First deliver a load of fill dirt to the house so we could hopefully finish getting it level and get it ready for Kaden's birthday party Sept. 8th.
The dirt pile (5 cubic yds)
The kids decided to help me shovel ;) Aubrey actually really wanted to help and spent quite a bit of time out there with me.
What it looks like now that we got it all moved. I think we will need a little more probably but we can get that on the back of Wes's truck. Then we need to get a load of mulch.
Since the play area is about ready I also put the kids sand box in place and went ahead and filled it up. They had a good time playing in it last night. What a mess though sand was everywhere.
Notice Kaden's socks he really didn't like the feel of the sand on his feet so I left his socks on.
Saturday night we took a break from shoveling and went to Texas Roadhouse with Wes's mom and brothers. After we ate Aubrey went with Carol to have a sleepover and Wes and I took Kaden over to Jeremy's to visit a while. Kaden had a really good time shooting some hoops.
For those who saw my post about Jeremy being sick he is feeling much better for now. They found some leisons on his liver and are in the process of running more tests and figuring out what they can do for him.
