Floyd County Fair

July 8th We met our friend Amy Kiper and her kids at the Floyd County Fair after work.  I was in 4-H most of my growing up years and I really enjoyed it and fair week was always so much fun.  The fair in Floyd County was a lot smaller than Dubois County but it was still fun and the kids had a good time.  When we got their the K-9 Frisbee dogs had just started a show so we sat down and watched it while we waited for the Kiper's.  It was really neat all the dogs are rescues they have trained and compete with.  They had some pretty awesome tricks.  After the show we headed over to the animal buildings and saw the horses, pigs, goats, sheep, rabbits, turkeys, ducks, alpacas, llamas, and cows.  After the animals we let the kids take a pony ride then talked them into trying the mechanical bull they had there.  Megan, Brandon, and Aubrey all did great on it, Lauren and Kaden not so much which we expected.  It was pretty funny though and they held on quite a while the operator was great and kept it pretty low key for them.  We walked through another building and they were getting ready to start another disk dog show and the kids wanted to watch it so we did.  After that show we let the kids buy some frisbees they were selling and Aubrey got her picture taken with one of the dogs.
