Tuesday we headed first to Sevierville to the Deer Farm & Exotic Petting Zoo. We have visited this farm the last several years and the kids always love it. They have a wide variety of animals you can feed and pet and there is a pen of deer and one of goats you can actually go into with the animals. We decided on the way there that we were going to go on a horseback ride while we were there as well so when we got there we booked that and only had about 40 minutes in the petting zoo before we headed over to the stables for our ride. This was the first time we've been horse back riding when we were down there. Aubrey has ridden one of the ponies the last two visits but Wes and Kaden had never been on a horse so I wasn't real sure how it would go. Kaden rode double with me but Aubrey rode on her own horse and the guide had a lead line on the horse. Aubrey rode Buddy, Kaden and I were on Squirrel, and Wes was on Rat and well he lived up to his name...lol The other horses were really well behaved but Wes's horse was constantly trying to eat and kept going off the trail in search of a tasty bush or tree. It was fun the kids had a good time and so did I. I'm not sure that we'll talk Wes into it again but I'm glad we went.
After the ride we could have went back to the petting zoo but it was past lunch time and we were hungry so we headed back to Pigeon Forge and ate at the Old Mill. It was yummy as usual but the kids were little stinkers the whole time. After lunch Wes insisted we go on the Jungle Boat ride. I didn't think the kids would go but they reluctantly agreed. They did ok until one of the dinosaurs started squirting water at us then Kaden freaked. Wes enjoyed it though. After that we went to the Hollywood Wax Museum and finally headed back to the cabin to get some supper. It was a busy day but we had a good time.
Wednesday it was time to head home so we packed up and headed out about 11:00. On the way to the interstate we stopped at Knifeworks and did a little shopping before continuing out journey home.
